Athlete's Foot, tinea pedis, is a very common fungal skin infection of the feet. The symptoms include itching, burning, redness, flaky skin and small fluid filled blisters. The condition can be treated using anti-fungal medication. If left untreated, athlete's foot can progress to a bacterial infection. The help prevent the infection always wear clean, dry, shoes and socks. Alternate pairs of shoes to allow each pair of shoes to dry.
