Thickened, dry skin that occurs on or in between the toes is typically referred to as a corn. If the dry skin is under the foot, it is usually referred to as callous. They are one in the same and are caused ultimately by pressure from the underlying bone. They can be maintained by regular visits to the practice or resolved by undergoing a minor surgical procedure.
